Despite his ongoing legal troubles, Kanye West still raises concerns when letting his 10-year-old daughter appear in a collaboration with Diddy.

Recently, Kanye West (Ye) caused a stir in the music industry when he updated a new song called Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine on the X platform. After that, the post was deleted but the song was still spreading rapidly among netizens. The problem is that the song Ye just revealed features “sex kingpin” Diddy, young artist Jasmine William and Ye’s 10-year-old daughter – North West. 

Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine was released shortly after Diddy appeared at a hearing before his sex crimes trial in New York. In September 2024, Diddy shocked the world when he was arrested on charges of sexual abuse, conspiracy to commit extortion, trafficking, and engaging in prostitution. The number of lawsuits involving the Hip-hop mogul reached dozens. Despite his ongoing legal troubles, Kanye West did not hesitate to show his support for the “sex mogul”.

The nearly five-minute song opens with a recording of a phone conversation between Ye and Diddy. “I just want to thank you so much for taking care of my kids, man,” Combs says in the recording. Ye responds, “Absolutely, I love you so much, man. You raised me. Even if I don’t know you, you know what I’m saying?”

Notably, North West – Ye and Kim Kardashian’s 10-year-old daughter – sang in a rap verse. TMZ reported that Kim Kardashian expressed concern about her daughter appearing in a collab song with Diddy Combs. TMZ revealed a screenshot of Kanye West’s conversation with Kim Kardashian: “I asked him if I could trademark her name. He said yes. When she turns 18, the trademark will belong to her. So stop it. I filed a lawsuit to keep her from appearing in Diddy’s song, I need to protect her…”.

This shows that Kim Kardashian completely predicted the negative issues that would arise when her 10-year-old daughter was placed next to Diddy Combs. Kanye West once again caused controversy because he not only publicly supported the “sex kingpin”, but also let his daughter get involved with this scandalous male artist.
